About the role
- Second Front Systems (2F) seeking Enterprise Support Engineer to support customers deployed on Game Warden DevSecOps platform.
- Report to Director of Customer Support within Engineering organization; support national security mission.
- Architect, improve, implement, deploy, and operate customer applications on a cloud-native platform.
- Build, test, validate, and operate customer applications on Game Warden in accordance with Department of Defense and Intelligence Community security and compliance standards.
- Research, experiment, and develop solutions to improve customer deployment outcomes.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and security teams to establish best practices for secure software delivery.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents across complex cloud and hybrid infrastructures.
- Develop and document new solutions while working independently in a fast-paced agile environment.
- Implement, modify, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Contribute to a team culture of innovation, diversity, and excellence.
- Note: Role requires U.S. citizenship and residence in one of approved U.S. hiring hubs.
Requirements
- Architect-level experience designing, implementing, and operating cloud-based infrastructure.
- Expertise with at least one of: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong experience with containerization, Kubernetes, and AWS EKS.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications with Helm.
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Experience monitoring and resolving incidents in complex enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC2, etc.).
- Strong coding skills in one or more of: Go, Python, Bash.
- Proficiency in image/container hardening and CVE remediation.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with GitLab and Google Workspaces.
- Expertise with DevSecOps principles: security automation, continuous security, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Preferred: 5–7 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred: Certified AWS Solutions Architect.
- Preferred: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
- Preferred: Experience as a Software Engineer or DevSecOps Engineer.
- Preferred: DoD 8570 compliance.
- Preferred: Experience working in a startup environment.
- Preferred: Knowledge of zero-trust architectures, threat modeling, and secure coding practices.
- Preferred: Ability to operate in high-pressure enterprise support environments.
- Preferred: Strong interest in matters of national security.
- Preferred: Compassionate and direct feedback style, team-oriented, and growth-oriented mindset.
- Bonus: Deep understanding of cloud networking.
- Bonus: Experience with multiple cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Bonus: Active security clearance or ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
