About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform advanced cardiovascular surgeries including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repairs and replacements, and other complex procedures
- Manage patient care pre-operatively, intra-operatively, and post-operatively to ensure optimal outcomes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Engage in clinical research activities to advance cardiovascular surgical knowledge and techniques
- Participate actively in teaching, mentoring, and supervising medical students, residents, and junior surgeons
- Contribute to quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives within the healthcare facility
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive clinical experience in cardiovascular surgery, preferably within an academic or university healthcare setting
- Demonstrated ability to perform complex cardiovascular surgical procedures
