This unique position offers the opportunity to work across both sectors, delivering expert surgical care to pediatric patients and contributing to the advancement of pediatric surgical services.
As a Consultant Pediatric Surgeon, you will be responsible for diagnosing, managing, and performing a wide range of surgical procedures tailored to infants, children, and adolescents. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in both government and private settings to ensure comprehensive, high-quality care, and contribute to clinical governance and educational activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed assessments and evaluations of pediatric patients requiring surgical care.
- Develop and implement individualized surgical treatment plans using the latest techniques.
- Conduct elective and emergency pediatric surgical procedures in both government and private healthcare facilities.
- Provide comprehensive perioperative management, including preoperative preparation and postoperative care.
- Collaborate closely with pediatricians, anesthesiologists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals for integrated patient care.
- Participate in clinical training, research, and quality improvement programs.
- Contribute to the development and adherence to clinical protocols and standards.
