About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Monitor, analyse and report on business performance and KPIs
Investigate performance issues to identify root causes, trends and opportunities for improvement
Transform complex data into clear, actionable insights supporting business decision-making
Develop and maintain management information, dashboards, reports, data models and reporting solutions using Power BI and other analytical tools
Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements
Provide insight-led recommendations
Support governance and performance review processes through accurate, timely reporting
Ensure data quality, integrity and consistency
Identify opportunities to automate and streamline reporting processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience working with large datasets and complex information
Strong technical skills in Power BI, SQL and Excel
Experience developing reports, dashboards and data visualisations
Experience investigating performance issues, identifying root causes and presenting findings
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
Collaborative approach to working with stakeholders
Knowledge of KPI frameworks, performance management and root cause analysis techniques advantageous
Understanding of data modelling and data visualisation best practice advantageous
Experience of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Power Automate, Power Query or Fabric advantageous
All employees must be Scottish taxpayers and have a home address in Scotland, or commit to moving to Scotland within the first three months
Valid UK driving licence required for driving on Scottish Water business and claiming business mileage expenses
Subject to pre-employment screening, including referencing, criminal record checks and licence checks
May be subject to Drug & Alcohol testing
