About the role

  • Develop system architectures and models for multi-vehicle autonomy in complex, contested, experimental environments.
  • Apply MBSE principles to capture requirements, interfaces, and operational behaviors using Cameo (MagicDraw).
  • Work closely with software, hardware, and test engineers to integrate autonomy solutions into embedded systems for uncrewed platforms.
  • Participate in system design reviews, trade studies, and risk assessments.
  • Contribute to the development of CONOPS (Concept of Operations) and operations analysis for customer missions.
  • Support proposal efforts and customer briefings with technical input, including competitive proposals for agencies such as AFLCMC, NAVAIR, DIU, and other DoD organizations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure technical alignment across projects.
  • Occasionally support other company initiatives where systems engineering expertise is required.
  • Up to 25% travel to test locations may be required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DOD Secret Clearance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, or other engineering discipline with experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering principles/practices and 0-4 years of related work experience.
  • Experience in unmanned/autonomous systems development.
  • Hands-on experience with Digital Engineering and MBSE practices, including SysML and Cameo Systems Modeler.
  • Prior software engineering experience a plus
  • Experience with CONOPS development, operations analysis, or military utility analysis.
  • Familiarity with command-and-control architectures for autonomous systems.
  • Experience preparing technical content for proposals and government reviews.
  • Prior exposure to DoD programs, particularly AFLCMC, NAVAIR, DARPA, or industry prime contractors.
  • Strong problem-solving and systems thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
