About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Significantly support system design reviews (SRR/PDR/CDR/TRR) for Autonomy Systems, develop interfaces (IDDs, ICDs) and operational/system/data viewpoints, in alignment with customer standards such as DoDAF.
  • Perform system-level integration and test activities to ensure the Autonomy Systems meets or exceeds functional and performance system requirements.
  • Define and document system requirements, interfaces, and performance metrics.
  • Perform system-level modeling and simulation (M+S) and analyses using digital models and analysis tools, such as AFSIM, to quantify the utility or effectiveness of an autonomy system.
  • Support proposal activities by performing M+S, technical data analyses and creating/ revising assigned technical content sections as needed.
  • Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies, using tools such as Cameo/MagicDraw, to create and maintain system models, ensuring clarity and traceability.
  • Perform system analysis, such as requirements analyses, and design activities to support the development of Autonomy System Architectures, models, data, and interfaces.
  • Develop working knowledge of Aerospace and DoD Systems Engineering Management, and relevant customer or industry processes, such as DoD 5000.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors’ of Science degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent experience and 5+ years of progressive systems engineering experience in a related industry.
  • Experience with the development, integration, and test of autonomous systems.
  • Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and formal tools for SysML.
  • Experience with modeling and simulation (M&S) and formal tools for simulation and analysis, such as AFSIM.
  • Master’s of Science degree or PhD (Preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, CAD, AutoCAD, AFSIM, and tools such as Cameo/MagicDraw.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and creatively solve complex problems.
  • Ability to execute logical reasoning and decision-making skills.
