About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and evolve event-driven distributed systems
  • Participate in architectural decisions considering scalability, performance, and resilience
  • Implement solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch and/or Quarkus
  • Apply engineering best practices such as Clean Architecture and SOLID principles
  • Work with messaging-based integrations (Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ)
  • Ensure code quality through automated tests (unit and integration; BDD is a plus)
  • Contribute to data modeling and evolution (SQL and NoSQL)
  • Contribute to observability practices (logs, metrics, and tracing)
  • Perform code reviews and collaborate on the technical growth of the team
  • Work closely with product teams and stakeholders to deliver solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong software engineering experience (typically 5+ years)
  • Advanced proficiency in Java
  • Experience with Spring (Boot, Batch) and/or Quarkus
  • Experience with distributed systems
  • Knowledge of event-driven architecture
  • Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, SQS, or RabbitMQ)
  • Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
  • Knowledge of data modeling
  • Familiarity with Clean Architecture and SOLID principles
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Experience with containers and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of observability
  • Experience with automated testing
