About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead operations for an assigned clinical specialty across Schweiger’s multi-state platform
  • Own specialty budget, expenses, revenue, provider productivity, recruitment objectives, metrics, and P&L reporting
  • Identify performance variances and drive corrective action through operational owners
  • Define specialty operating standards and clinic-level success criteria
  • Develop General Managers and Regional Managers so they can independently lead the specialty
  • Build specialty education curricula, standard operating procedures, reference materials, and competency measurement
  • Serve as the operational subject matter expert for the assigned specialty
  • Translate clinical requirements into scalable operating models, workflows, staffing models, supply chain processes, documentation, coding, and compliance requirements
  • Partner with clinical leadership, integration, finance, revenue cycle management, marketing, training, talent acquisition, business development, legal, compliance, quality, IT, and clinical systems
  • Scope, build, and launch new specialty services
  • Build operating documentation, growth roadmaps, workflows, and role definitions
  • Lead centralized specialty teams and programs, including laboratory or coordinator functions
  • Build transition plans for centralized functions as specialties mature
  • Initially lead allergy specialty integration, launch biologics, scope asthma, transition the compounding laboratory, and establish reliable allergy P&L and specialty reporting

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Progressive experience in multi-site healthcare operations, service line management, or a comparable operating role at director-level scope
  • Ability to work at both strategic and execution levels
  • Experience defining scope in ambiguous conditions where the operating model, standards, and measures did not yet exist
  • Demonstrated accountability for a budget or P&L
  • Success building capability within a distributed field organization, including developing leaders who do not report to the position
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives through teams outside of direct reporting authority
  • Ability to convert clinical and functional expertise into an operating model, documentation, and training
  • Analytical fluency sufficient to build and maintain performance reporting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel regularly across the SDG footprint
  • Experience launching or scaling a service line within a multi-site provider organization preferred
  • Experience supporting practice acquisitions or provider integration preferred
  • Clinical background or direct experience within a clinical specialty preferred
