About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary functional expert for Workday Human Capital Management (HCM)
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday Core HCM, Benefits Administration, Payroll, and Learning (LMS) modules
- Design, build, test, and support Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, and Web Services/APIs
- Develop and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and calculated fields
- Partner with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, IT, and vendors to gather requirements and implement system enhancements
- Support Workday releases by evaluating new features, testing functionality, and coordinating deployment activities
- Lead configuration changes, data validation, testing, and production migration
- Troubleshoot production issues and resolve system defects and integration failures
- Ensure data integrity, system security, and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements
- Create documentation, standard operating procedures, and end-user training materials
- Participate in HR technology roadmap planning and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
- 5–8+ years of HRIS experience
- 4+ years of hands-on Workday administration and configuration experience
- Strong expertise in Workday HCM, Benefits, Payroll, Reporting, Integrations, and Learning (LMS)
- Experience building and supporting Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, and APIs
- Advanced knowledge of Workday reporting, calculated fields, and dashboards
- Experience supporting Workday releases, testing, and production deployments
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Workday Pro or Workday Certifications in one or more functional areas preferred
- Technical knowledge of Workday Core HCM, Workday Benefits, Workday Payroll, Workday Learning (LMS), Workday Reporting, Calculated Fields, Dashboards, Workday Security, EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, REST/SOAP APIs, XML/XSLT, SQL preferred, and Advanced Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of HRIS strategy and administration, business process configuration, requirements gathering, system optimization, data analysis, process improvement, cross-functional collaboration, project management, change management, customer service, and attention to detail
