About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and providers
- Assist physicians in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures
- Assist providers with recording treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorizations, and procedures
- Understand patient flow and anticipate providers’ next steps
- Prepare rooms before and after patients and check equipment at the beginning of each shift
- Scan retail, cosmetic products, and medical supplies daily and report low supplies
- Perform inventory and stock supplies and equipment as requested
- Attend in-house training and continuing education opportunities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Open to candidates with no experience who have an interest in healthcare
- Teamwork experience
- Detail-oriented
- Flexible schedule
- Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays
- Open availability during weekdays and weekends
- Dermatology experience preferred
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred
- Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
- Computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Excellent patient relations and customer service skills
