About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and providers
Assist physicians in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures
Assist providers with recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorizations, and procedures
Understand patient flow and anticipate the provider’s next steps
Prepare rooms before and after patients and check equipment at the beginning of each shift
Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions
Scan retail, cosmetic products, and medical supplies daily and alert management about low supplies
Perform inventory responsibilities and stock supplies and equipment as requested
Attend in-house training and continuing education opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Previous healthcare experience required
Healthcare experience required
Dermatology experience preferred
Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred
Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
Computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Excellent patient relations and customer service skills
Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7:00am–7:30pm
Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends
Flexibility to help cover in a team environment
Full-time schedule of 30+ hours
