About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide full-service employee relations support, including disciplinary conversations, investigations, and terminations
  • Support general benefits activities
  • Provide HRIS support and manage information
  • Conduct compliance-related activities, including ensuring regulations and certifications are met
  • Support recruitment when needed
  • Coordinate employee leaves with HR leaders to ensure compliance with legislation and company policies
  • Monitor employment and case law affecting supported regions
  • Provide high-level customer service to internal and external customers
  • Regularly review compensation for FLSA compliance
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers, referring complex or sensitive matters appropriately
  • Review and create internal policies and procedures
  • Assist with HR projects and initiatives as needed
  • Travel to New York City for team meetings and visit offices/acquisition-related support

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience as a Generalist required
  • 4-5 years’ experience in Human Resources preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Healthcare recruitment experience highly preferred
  • Experience using an HRIS system required; Workday preferred
  • Experience using an ATS (Applicant Tracking System)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Working knowledge and application of HIPAA and OSHA compliance
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Excellent employee and candidate relationship-building skills
  • Must be agile, fast-paced, and innovative
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be located or planning to relocate to the Upstate New York Region
  • Must be available to travel to offices/acquisition-related support, typically 1-2 days at a time
  • Schedule availability: 9am-5pm EST, Monday-Friday
