About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and respective providers
Assist physicians in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures
Assist providers with recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorizations, and procedures
Understand patient flow and anticipate providers’ next steps
Prepare rooms before and after patients and check equipment at the beginning of each shift
Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions
Scan retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies daily and alert the Head MA and/or GM about low supplies
Perform inventory responsibilities and stock supplies and equipment as requested
Attend in-house training and continued education opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Previous healthcare experience required
Dermatology experience preferred
Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred
Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
Computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Excellent patient relation and customer service skills
Open availability to work weekdays and weekends
Full-time availability of 30+ hours per week
Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7am–7pm
Flexibility to help cover in a team environment
