About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and respective providers
- Assist physicians in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures
- Assist providers with recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorizations, and procedures
- Understand patient flow and anticipate providers’ next steps
- Prepare rooms before and after patients and check equipment at the beginning of each shift
- Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions
- Scan retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies daily and alert the Head MA and/or GM about low supplies
- Perform inventory responsibilities and stock supplies and equipment as requested
- Attend in-house training and continued education opportunities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous healthcare experience required
- Dermatology experience preferred
- Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred
- Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
- Computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Excellent patient relation and customer service skills
- Open availability to work weekdays and weekends
- Full-time availability of 30+ hours per week
- Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7am–7pm
- Flexibility to help cover in a team environment
