Key responsibilities & impact

Design and maintain a robust, efficient, and forward-looking storage architecture
Maintain and optimize the stability and availability of highly resilient Block, Object, Backup, and File Storage infrastructure
Proactively monitor systems, independently resolve incidents, and implement preventive measures
Process major storage incidents within incident and problem management
Derive and implement mitigating measures from incident and post-mortem analyses
Automate provisioning and operating processes in the storage environment
Analyze and optimize system performance
Support future landscape scaling through proactive capacity planning
Collaborate with internal service teams to continuously refine services and build stable, reliable customer solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience in the architecture, operations, and troubleshooting of storage systems
Deep hands-on experience with NetApp ONTAP or NetApp StorageGRID
Strong understanding of storage architectures
Deep experience with NFSv3, NFSv4.x, NVMe-oF, and S3 protocols
Solid practical experience with Linux operating systems
Strong experience automating configurations and operational tasks
Experience working with REST APIs
Motivation to learn new technologies
Interest in virtualization, backup, monitoring, and logging ecosystems, including Prometheus, Grafana, and Elasticsearch
Motivated team player comfortable operating complex storage systems, including lifecycle, high availability, and performance analysis
Excellent English communication skills required; German is an optional bonus
Nice to have: Kubernetes/containerized system landscape experience in a storage context
Nice to have: proficiency with IaC tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and OpenTofu
Nice to have: scripting/programming with Golang, Python, or Bash
