About the role

  • Build the STACKIT API Platform
  • Enable internal stakeholders to publish and consume APIs
  • Develop features such as rate limiting, authentication, and monitoring
  • Continuously design and improve software architecture
  • Act as a technical sparring partner for colleagues
  • Implement secure and thoroughly tested code
  • Automate operational tasks and ensure scalability of software

Requirements

  • Significant involvement in development of complex software systems
  • In-depth knowledge of distributed system architecture
  • Proficient in backend development (ideally with Go, Java, or Kotlin)
  • Daily experience with REST and gRPC
  • Experience with service meshes
  • Familiarity with API proxies like Envoy
  • Team player who enjoys sharing knowledge
