About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ongoing accounting (accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger)
Reviewing, coding and posting incoming and outgoing invoices
Bank and cash postings as well as account reconciliations
Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements/close processes
Preparation of documentation for the tax advisor
Travel and expense reporting
Maintaining and improving internal accounting processes
Optional – Payroll: preparation and processing of monthly payroll
Maintaining employee master data
Liaising with health insurance providers, authorities and the tax advisor
Support with payroll-related personnel queries

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed commercial/vocational training, further qualification in accounting or an equivalent qualification
Several years of experience in financial accounting
Confident handling of DATEV (FiBu, Mittelstand Faktura)
Structured, independent and reliable working style
Discretion and a strong sense of responsibility when handling sensitive data
Good German language skills, both written and spoken
Nice to have: experience in payroll accounting
Experience with digital, paperless accounting processes
Experience in startups, SMEs or fast-growing companies
