About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ongoing accounting (accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger accounts)
- Review, coding and posting of incoming and outgoing invoices
- Bank and cash postings and account reconciliations
- Preparation for month-end and year-end closings
- Preparation of documentation for the tax advisor
- Travel expense and expense report processing
- Maintenance and further development of internal accounting processes
- Optional — Payroll: preparation and processing of monthly payroll
- Maintenance of employee master data
- Communication with health insurance providers, authorities and the tax advisor
- Support with payroll-related personnel queries
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed commercial vocational training, further qualification in accounting or equivalent qualification
- Several years of experience in financial accounting
- Confident user of DATEV (FiBu, Mittelstand Faktura)
- Structured, independent and reliable working style
- Discretion and a strong sense of responsibility when handling sensitive data
- Good German language skills, spoken and written
- Nice to have: experience in payroll
- Nice to have: experience with digital, paperless accounting processes
- Nice to have: experience in start-ups, SMEs or fast-growing companies
