About the role
- Represent clients in civil litigation cases in Illinois courts
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other case-related documents
- Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
- Collaborate with colleagues on strategy, case preparation, and client service
- Contribute to firm growth and take on leadership opportunities as the firm expands
- Hands-on role across personal injury and complex civil litigation matters (civil RICO, fraud, corporate disputes)
- Work closely with the team in a collaborative, all-hands-on-deck environment
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in Illinois
- 2–5 years of litigation experience (civil litigation preferred)
- Courtroom experience required
- Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset—eager to grow with the firm
- Hungry and ambitious
- Collaborative and ready to contribute across different case types
- Forward-thinking and excited to work with technology and expansion
- Salary Range: $90,000 – $120,000 (based on experience)
- Quarterly performance bonuses (2–3% of settlement amounts)
- Case origination bonus: Up to one-third of attorney’s fees on cases you bring in
- Pathway to partnership and leadership opportunities as the firm expands
- Hybrid work setup: minimum 2–3 days per week in our Oak Brook office
