About the role
- Research the affiliate marketing, betting, gaming, and related industries to identify relevant agenda topics, speakers, and competitor activity.
- Proactively plan and curate agenda topics, ensuring they reflect current trends and interests in the industry.
- Engage, network, and build relationships with key industry figures to source high-quality speakers from Affiliate, sports betting and iGaming operators.
- Collaborate with the Affiliate Editor to align agenda topics with speaker expertise and audience interests.
- Liaise with the sales team to maximise sponsorship opportunities and generate revenue through strategic speaking engagements.
- Manage relationships with conference sponsors who are also speakers or panellists, ensuring their representation enhances the overall program.
- Oversee agenda management and speaker logistics, ensuring all participants are adequately prepared for events.
- Organise pre-event panel calls and confirm AV specifications for presentations.
- Manage event delivery on-site for all SBC events, ensuring a seamless experience for speakers and attendees.
- Attend and represent SBC at international events and exhibitions, fostering connections and identifying new opportunities for future conferences and content.
- Develop and maintain profiles on key industry stakeholders, understanding their functions (payments, marketing, tech/product, etc.) and C-level contacts to leverage for speaker sourcing.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to highlight key speakers in promotional campaigns and content marketing. Ensure that all speakers have the necessary digital marketing assets to promote their participation effectively
Requirements
- An understanding of the Affiliate Marketing industry, and ideally have a network of senior level contacts in the industry.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with industry executives and open doors for collaboration, ensuring strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Proven experience operating autonomously with effective decision-making and judgement.
- A keen interest in technology, with strong digital savviness that enhances the ability to leverage tools and platforms for successful event execution and promotion.
- Outstanding communication skills in English, both written and spoken, facilitating clear and impactful interactions with speakers, sponsors, and attendees.
- Exceptional organisational skills, with a proven ability to adapt and change priorities according to immediate business needs, ensuring successful event delivery and coordination.
- Experience in conference production or a similar role, with an understanding of event logistics, speaker management, and audience engagement within the B2B events and/or media landscape
- An interest in sports betting and iGaming
- Fluency in Portuguese and/or Spanish
