About the role
- Review clinical documentation to assign and sequence diagnostic and procedural codes
- Validate APC calculations for accurate capturing of diagnoses/procedures
- Abstract clinical data after documentation review
- Maintain strict patient and provider confidentiality
Requirements
- An active AHIMA or AAPC credential
- Two years of recent and relevant hands-on coding experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology
- Ability to consistently code at 95% threshold
- Proficient computer knowledge including MS Office
