About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Improve internal tooling: enhance build pipelines and help visualize engineering metrics
- Expand technical documentation by covering patterns and best practices used across the frontend codebase
- Help build and connect our Figma Code Connect integration for the new component library
- Write integration tests for existing screens using Maestro, improving confidence in releases
- Contribute to the design system and component library to ensure consistency across Sarwa’s products
- Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to deliver polished, user-facing improvements
- Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and team discussions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Are currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Have foundational experience with React and TypeScript (personal projects, coursework, or prior internships count)
- Understand modern frontend fundamentals: component architecture, state management, and responsive design
- Have empathy for developers and internal users - you think about the people who will use what you build
- Are self-directed and comfortable taking ownership of a task from start to finish
- Have a strong attention to detail, especially when it comes to UI consistency and code quality
- Are curious about design systems, developer experience, and testing best practices
- Communicate clearly and enjoy collaborating with designers, engineers, and product managers
