About the role

  • Maintain, upgrade and provide support for SCDC software, hardware, and networks infrastructure
  • Diagnose and resolve problems quickly
  • Communicate technical concerns and solutions
  • Assist the IT Systems and Security Engineer for maintaining SCDC network and systems infrastructure
  • Perform daily preventive monitoring
  • Test and apply patches and upgrades regularly
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for all production systems

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent certification training and related work experience
  • Relevant technical certifications: Network+, Security+ required at time of or during employment
  • Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, or other relevant industry certifications a plus
  • Expert knowledge of system security concerns and vulnerabilities
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with VMware
  • Proven ability to handle conflict situations.
