About the role
- Guide clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday Payroll implementation.
- Configure the Workday Payroll product to meet business requirements and design specifications.
- Bridge the gap between business and technical teams and solve complex Workday intersystem problems.
- Execute day-to-day activities of Workday integrations and provide Extend support for various customer contracts (staff augmentation, ad-hoc support, project delivery).
- Track issues and risks, communicate status, and escalate concerns to project management.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and educate clients on developing and operating interfaces to and from a SaaS platform.
- Provide subject matter expertise on Workday best practices.
- Evaluate, communicate, and coordinate technical impacts of integration configuration decisions.
- Develop deep knowledge of Workday Integrations and an understanding of Financials, Learning, Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, and Talent modules.
- Mentor other consultants and share product knowledge to grow the practice.
- Work directly with business and IT stakeholders to establish requirements, consider design alternatives, and configure, test, and deploy integration solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience implementing and supporting Workday Payroll, including configuration and optimization.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with Workday configuration tools and reporting (e.g., EIB, Advanced Report Writer, Business Process Framework).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design solutions for complex payroll requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience collaborating across teams and with clients.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Workday Certified Professional credential (mandatory).
- Workday Payroll functional certification (mandatory).
