About the role
- Design and maintain enterprise reporting data models including fact/dimension tables, star and snowflake schemas, semantic layers, and reporting datasets
- Define and document data architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices
- Ensure data models support KPIs, dashboards, operational reporting, and advanced analytics
- Partner with enterprise architects and data engineering teams to design efficient ETL/ELT pipelines
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable reporting data structures and workflows
- Lead scalable data solution designs supporting modernization initiatives
- Collaborate with reporting teams to standardize metrics, definitions, and calculations
- Develop reusable data assets for BI platforms such as Power BI or similar tools
- Work closely with business units and mainframe teams to gather reporting requirements
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting environments
- Establish and enforce governance standards including metadata management and documentation
- Support compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements
- Troubleshoot complex data issues and provide architectural resolution guidance
- Mentor report developers and analysts on best practices in data modeling and reporting
Requirements
- 10+ years of strong experience in data modeling (star schema, snowflake schema, semantic modeling)
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise reporting platforms (Power BI, Tableau, SSRS)
- 8+ years of experience translating business requirements into technical data structures
- 8+ years of proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint)
- 6+ years of experience with KPI design, business metrics, and analytical methodologies
- 8+ years interpreting data models, data dictionaries, and technical documentation
- 4+ years of knowledge of data governance frameworks and metadata management
- 6+ years working in fast-paced environments with strict deadlines
- 2+ years of strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
