About the role
- Provide Specialist Family Violence counselling services
- Emphasis on safety and perpetrator accountability
- Conduct MARAM risk assessments and safety planning
- Provide advocacy and onward referrals for victims of family violence
- Offer secondary consultations and ensure culturally safe and gender sensitive support
Requirements
- A relevant tertiary qualification in social work, welfare studies or related area
- Demonstrated experience in working with women and children with complex needs
- Comprehensive MARAM risk assessment and safety planning experience
- Ability to work flexible hours as required
- Understanding of gendered nature of family violence
- Teamwork experience within integrated practice system
- Experience with data and record keeping and IT systems
- Current Victorian Driver’s License, Working with Children Check and clear National Policy History Check
