About the role
- Schedule and attend project meetings, providing oversight on deliverables and outcomes.
- Manage the review and endorsement of specifications and tender documents.
- Participate in tender evaluations and tender recommendations.
- Directly procure select FF&E items via Health Share Victoria (HSV).
- Comply with relevant Barwon Health policies, procedures and processes.
- Administer contracts; including purchase orders, variations and payments.
- Manage the procurement of FF&E against the approved budget.
- Review shop drawings, prototypes and samples with internal stakeholders.
- Support the development and execution of a Logistics Plan.
- Directly oversee biomedical procurement activities conducted by Barwon Health.
- Co-ordinate and participate in witness testing, asset tagging and training.
- Manage the auditing of transfer FF&E and development of a Transfer Strategy.
- Participate in operational commissioning activities.
- Ensure all initiatives are managed in accordance with existing governance frameworks.
Requirements
- Qualifications in a related discipline (e.g. biomedical, nursing, project management)
- Experience in similar role procuring, delivering and commissioning FF&E in a healthcare setting.
- Technical skills, including the ability to read architectural and services documentation.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary healthcare systems as they relate to FF&E.
- Awareness of clinical products with the ability to research and evaluate them.
- Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder management and presentation skills.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to relate to people across the organisation and understand user requirements.
