About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Author and maintain the annual Training Plan
- Ensure all examiners complete required General and Specialty Certification Courses in VBA MDE TRAIN before conducting examinations
- Manage examiner recertification on 5-year cycles and after 12-month inactivity triggers
- Coordinate with the MDEO Train mailbox and COR to verify new examiner training completion before scheduling
- Prevent training-based exclusions per Attachment AT and respond to deficiency notifications within 15 days
- Ensure annual HIPAA and Privacy Act training completion for providers, support staff, and subcontractors
- Contribute training metrics to Monthly Status Reports and ad-hoc reporting
- Support Government training audits
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Health Sciences, Public Health, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of training leadership experience, including 5+ years in a director-level role
- Experience managing clinician or examiner training programs in a healthcare or federal contract environment
- LMS experience; VBA MDE TRAIN strongly preferred
- Expert Microsoft Excel and SharePoint proficiency
- Ability to obtain a VA Background Investigation
- Prior VA MDE, C&P, or DBQ program experience preferred
- Master's degree preferred
- CPLP, CPTM, or ATD Master Trainer credential preferred
- Prior VA/VHA/DoD training program leadership preferred
- Familiarity with PACT Act, Camp Lejeune, Gulf War, and airborne hazards training requirements preferred
- Veteran status preferred
