About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support Training & Education Management Systems for Naval Education and Training Command (NETC)
- Support programs of record including CeTARS, MyED, NETFOCUS, NIGHTS, NEAS, AIM, and LAS
- Manage numerous tasks, priorities, and technical inputs with minimal supervision
- Draft and edit complex hardware documentation, including Technical Manuals, Technical Instructions, Modification Instructions, Procedures, and User Guides
- Partner with subject matter experts and assist technical team members with writing tasks
- Assist individuals in troubleshooting Microsoft Word and PowerPoint issues
- Follow established processes, writing and style conventions, and configuration management for program documentation
- Maintain, update, and author revisions of technical documentation, including Systems Engineering Management Plans, Configuration Management Plans, and Statements of Work
- Compile and structure researched technical information for stakeholders
- Source or develop technical diagrams for reference documentation
- Produce documentation according to customer formatting and governance standards
- Track and cite reference sources
- Review stakeholder-submitted documentation for completeness, correctness, and compliance before baselining
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or one of the other accepted degrees identified at cyber.mil
- Degree must be from an ABET-accredited or NCAE-C-designated institution
- Proficiency with technical writing tools and software packages
- Familiarity with military system documentation standards, including MIL-STD-38784, DOD-STD-2167A, and IEEE 12207-2-2020
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams to develop technical content
- Strong attention to detail and ability to refine and edit technical information for clarity and accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills
- Must have a Secret security clearance
- Solid experience using various AI platforms
- Knowledge of infrastructure modernization, application/software development and sustainment, cloud solutions, warfighter solutions, and agile methodologies for federal defense, civilian, space, and national security sectors
