About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversees all activities of payroll processing and payroll tax functions.
Establishes and maintains processes for timely and accurate payment.
Reviews systems, controls, and procedures for maximum accuracy and service quality.
Manages, reviews, and audits weekly GL entries.
Acts as a functional expert for Payroll/Time system and partners with Finance.
Leads, develops, and engages Payroll Operations team.
Manages talent aspects including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
Drives service delivery and accountability for the Payroll operations team.
Manages project management and process improvement for Payroll Operations.
Coordinates special reports and audits for payroll compliance.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree Required
7-9 years multi-state payroll processing and tax experience Required
Payroll Certification Required
Familiarity with Federal, State and local tax laws (Medium proficiency)
Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication (High proficiency)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
People leadership; fosters a strong sense of team, leads team to drive results (High proficiency)
Ability to maintain complex payroll records, summaries, and reports.
Demonstrated ability to build processes, seek, evaluate, implement best practices, and operational efficiencies.
