About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure compliance with industrial hygiene regulations
- Develop, implement, and maintain an approved Industrial Hygiene (IH) plan
- Conduct IH surveillance and assessments, including workplace inspections
- Monitor and analyze Industrial Hygiene reports and provide appropriate communication to employees
- Determine effectiveness of engineering control methods and make recommendations regarding equipment
- Provide industrial hygiene support within laboratory settings
- Determine remediation/restoration protocols for environmental hazards
- Author/amend clear/concise training materials and site-specific procedures for Industrial Hygiene
Requirements
What you’ll need- A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a chemical or industrial setting or a BS degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environment Health or a related science field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to transfer relevant information efficiently and effectively using Microsoft Office applications and other IT applications
- Working knowledge of occupational exposure pathways and control strategies
- Experience with air sampling pumps and calibrators, sound level meters/dosimeters, and common direct‑reading instruments (e.g., PID/LEL, multi‑gas, heat stress monitors)
- Organizational skills to balance priorities between immediate work and longer-term strategical efforts
- Physical Requirements: Walk for extended distances, climb stairs & ladders, leaning/kneeling to view equipment.
