About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Play a critical role on the PC&PBT Site Management Team by demonstrating SABIC Values and SABIC Leadership Way
- Set the tone for EHSS matters to all site employees and internal and external stakeholders
- Lead inclusive EHSS culture and climate that strives for continuous improvement
- Provide strategic and actionable EHSS direction including constructive enforcement of EHSS objectives
- Collect, prepare, submit and maintain EHSS applications, data, reports, records and documents
- Monitor and take action to ensure compliance with existing and anticipated government regulations
- Provide effective financial oversight of EHSS budget
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders on EHSS matters
- Inspire site employees, local community stakeholders, and SABIC customers through transparent and inclusive EHSS communications
Requirements
What you’ll need- B.S. or equivalent related science/engineering degree
- Minimum eight years manufacturing Environmental, Health, Safety and Security (EHSS) experience in chemicals, plastics or petrochemicals with at least two years in leadership.
- Working knowledge of ISO 14001 standards
- Advanced manufacturing principles such as LEAN/Six Sigma
- Demonstrated ability to interpret business strategies
- Proven ability to assess talent and manage change
- Extremely strong team leadership and cross-functional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with a high degree of reliability and self-reliance.
- Must be currently authorized to work for SABIC in the United States on a full-time basis.
