About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead design innovation: Spot opportunities in key industries and translate them into compelling concepts to influence customers.
  • Visual storytelling: Sketch, render, and model ideas that communicate vision instantly to stakeholders.
  • Prototype creation: Build and test tangible solutions that prove the power of SABIC materials using 3D printing / CNC machining.
  • CMF exploration: Apply cutting-edge Color, Material, Finish trends to elevate plastics applications.
  • Collaborative design: Work with internal designer, application engineers, marketers, and global teams to deliver holistic solutions.
  • IP contribution: Shape proprietary designs and contribute to patents that protect innovation.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A master’s degree in industrial design or Product Design
  • 3 - 6 years of experience in product development - from concept to commercialization
  • A strong portfolio showcasing industrial design projects, especially with thermoplastics
  • Expertise in sketching, rendering, and CAD (SolidWorks, CATIA, Photoshop, Keyshot, Blender)
  • Experience in designing for automotive, electronics, healthcare, or infrastructure
  • Hands-on knowledge of prototyping technologies and manufacturing processes
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical ideas into market-ready solutions
  • Quest to learn, adopt new things and self-driven mindset is desired.
