About the role
- Responsible for lifecycle management, performance, leading technical support, projects, and compliance of all Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and Distributed Control System(s)
- Ensure systems are designed, implemented, maintained and tested in accordance with IEC 61511/ IS84 / industry standards
- Serve as the site’s subject matter expert for functional safety
- Work closely with Process Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Process Control teams
- Lead and support SIS/DCS upgrade studies
- Analyze and drive improvements to SIS/DCS interlocking strategies
- Develop and improve site control system related procedures, policies, and standards
- Respond in a timely manner to plant and control system issues
Requirements
- BS Degree in Chemical/Electrical/Control Systems Engineering/Computer Science or 5+ years’ experience in related field
- 5+ years’ automation experience in a chemical/petrochemical industry preferred
- 5+ in DCS/SIS project (or equivalent) lead positions
- Recent experience in regulatory and advanced process control methods
- Knowledge of chemical manufacturing process control and field instrumentation
- Knowledge of process control software such as Logmate, IP21, etc.
- Willingness to attend training courses as required
- Computer proficiency (Excel, Access, SQL, etc.)
