About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the analysis, documentation, and certification of avionics systems associated with navigation and airspace integration capabilities
Focus on systems engineering, certification support, and technical documentation
Support engineering and certification efforts across U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) aviation platforms
Evaluate avionics systems and associated software artifacts to assess system behavior and functional performance
Assist in certification and compliance efforts for systems pursuing RNAV, RNP, and related CNS/ATM approvals
Develop and support technical documentation, including engineering assessments and analysis summaries
Participate in systems engineering activities across the system lifecycle

Requirements

What you’ll need

Knowledge of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures and logical design
Proficiency in two or more high-order programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Ada, Java)
Educational exposure to assembly language concepts
Ability to analyze complex technical problems and interpret data outputs
Technical writing skills sufficient to document engineering analyses and findings
Basic understanding of avionics systems or aerospace engineering principles
Experience in software development, data analysis, or systems engineering (academic or professional)
Demonstrated ability to work in a technical team environment
Experience analyzing software behavior or system-level data flows (desired)
Familiarity with data and control coupling concepts (desired)
Experience working in team-based engineering environments (e.g., IPTs) (desired)
Basic understanding of mission or flight planning systems (desired)
Familiarity with systems engineering processes (e.g., SETR) (desired)
Exposure to civil or military avionics programs (desired)
