About the role
- Develop features and build infrastructure to integrate with external platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, and BigCommerce.
- Work on our browser-based checkout agent.
- Build and maintain high-quality APIs for eCommerce, focusing on tracking orders, order placement, returns, and search engines.
- Stand up new infrastructure on GCP.
- Deliver large projects end to end, coordinating features across team members and systems.
- Communicate updates proactively.
- Work independently and with a remote-first team.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in backend engineering
- Proficiency in Python and/or Node.js
- Experience building systems with a RESTful API and a gRPC backend system
- Strong understanding of best practices in software development and engineering
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
- Bonus: Experience working with external platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, and BigCommerce
- Bonus: Experience with browser agents, or LLMs in general.
