About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and implement data validation and model evaluation pipelines in a cloud environment (AWS).
Integrate data and evaluation metrics into an automated, auditable workflow.
Modularize the pipeline to facilitate reuse, testing, and maintenance.
Collaborate with Data Science, Data Engineering, and Product teams.
Ensure best practices for version control, logging, monitoring, and automated testing.
Propose continuous improvements to data architecture and validation processes.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience in data handling and statistical modeling (Python, SQL, PySpark).
Experience with Git and version control.
Strong experience in data science.
Analytical thinking and ability to solve complex data-related problems.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
Preferred: Experience with retail systems, especially inventory, reservation/locking, availability processes, and e-commerce integration.
Preferred: Knowledge of Oracle Retail, RMS, or legacy back-end systems.
Preferred: Experience handling high-volume data in MongoDB.
Preferred: Experience with AWS, OpenShift, Docker, or Kubernetes.
Preferred: Knowledge of event-driven architecture.
Preferred: Experience with batch processes, workers, queues, and message reprocessing.
Preferred: Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, CloudWatch, or similar.
Preferred: Experience with Agile methodologies.
Preferred: Experience with AWS services (Glue, S3, SageMaker, Lambda, etc.).
Preferred: Experience with optimization problems.
