About the role
- Lead and mentor the QA team on projects involving legacy applications.
- Define and implement testing strategies (manual and automated) to ensure system quality and coverage.
- Create, review, and validate test plans, test cases, and validation scenarios.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (preferably using Selenium, Java, or similar languages).
- Execute UI and API tests, identifying, documenting, and tracking defects clearly.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Estimate automation efforts and ensure deliveries within established deadlines.
- Work in CI/CD environments using tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
- Ensure good code versioning practices (e.g., GIT).
- Analyze, debug, and resolve issues related to test automation.
- Support continuous improvement of processes and quality practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading QA teams, especially in legacy application environments.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on test automation experience (UI and API).
- Proficiency with automation frameworks and tools (Selenium, Postman, etc.).
- Experience with agile methodologies.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
- Knowledge of version control systems (GIT).
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills in automation.
- Excellent communication, collaborative attitude, and adaptability.
