About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and oversee structural design projects from initial concept to completion
Manage project schedules, budgets, and client communication
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and engineering teams (Civil and MEPT)
Assist with geotechnical coordination and foundation design
Design structural elements using steel, concrete, masonry, and wood materials
Prepare design documents and review shop drawings
Conduct construction site visits and respond to RFIs/ITCs
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or related field (Master’s degree a plus)
PE licensure in Iowa, Wisconsin, or both
Strong background in structural engineering design and project management
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam, and structural analysis software (RISA, EnerCalc)
Experience with steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and foundation systems
Strong skills in code review, structural design, and project management
Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working in-office and on-site as needed
