About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage the local mechanical Group, ensuring seamless collaboration with the Team Leader
  • Oversee mechanical design projects, ensuring quality and adherence to client specifications
  • Coordinate with internal disciplines —electrical, structural, and civil—for integrated project delivery
  • Develop and review project specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Utilize Autodesk Revit and commercial HVAC design software (Trane/Carrier) for project execution
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and design staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring exceptional service and project satisfaction
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to inform design decisions and ensure project accuracy
  • Integrate supplier and contractor inputs into design and construction processes
  • Ensure quality control of construction documents and adherence to project timelines

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Wisconsin or ability to obtain licensure within 1-2 months
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and commercial HVAC design software (Trane/Carrier)
  • Experience in commercial HVAC and plumbing design, including geothermal and specialty fluid/gas piping systems
  • Strong skills in specification development and construction document creation
  • Ability to manage and mentor a team, with excellent communication and client management skills
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu and BIM Collaborate (Pro) integration
  • Experience in electrical system integration and construction administration processes
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying project requirements and collaborate across disciplines
