About the role

  • Lead and manage design and construction administration for municipal water supply projects, including wells, treatment systems, storage, booster stations, and distribution pipelines
  • Conduct and oversee planning studies, such as well siting, capacity evaluations, and system modeling
  • Prepare technical documents including plans, specifications, cost estimates, and regulatory permit applications
  • Coordinate with internal design teams, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure timely and compliant project delivery
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and responsive project management
  • Engage in business development activities, including proposal writing, client presentations, and contract negotiations
  • Mentor and support staff by sharing technical knowledge and fostering professional development
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory updates, and emerging technologies related to water supply and treatment

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Wisconsin required
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in water supply design and construction administration
  • At least 2 years of experience in project management and/or business development roles
  • Proven expertise in areas such as:
  • Water supply planning and modeling
  • Well siting and permitting
  • Treatment design (e.g., iron, radium, PFAS)
  • Distribution system design (pipelines, booster stations, storage)
  • Construction oversight and contractor coordination
  • Experience with client communication, business development strategy, and proposal development
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
