About the role
- Own and maintain production schedules across Art, Design, and Programming disciplines
- Partner with developers working in C++, Blueprint, and Unreal Engine 5 systems to identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks early
- Facilitate clear communication between teams of all disciplines to ensure requirements are understood and achievable
- Track and prioritize bug fixes, technical debt, and feature work across the development pipeline
- Run daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other team meetings - including keeping notes for meetings.
- Manage integration points between game systems and coordinate cross-functional feature testing
- Help scope and break down complex features into achievable milestones for all disciplines
- Identify process improvements and implement workflows that increase team efficiency
Requirements
- 3+ years of production experience in game development with at least one shipped PC or console title
- Proven track record working with engineering, art, and design teams on complex game systems
- Working knowledge of Unreal Engine (UE4 or UE5) and common game development pipelines
- Experience with project management and task tracking tools (Jira, Shotgun, Hansoft, Linear, or similar)
- Understanding of networked multiplayer development challenges and testing requirements
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with ability to translate between technical and non-technical team members
- Self-motivated and effective working remotely with distributed teams
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to adapt to the fast-paced nature of independent game development
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines while maintaining team focus and morale
- Experience with UE5-specific features (Lyra, Gameplay Ability System, Enhanced Input)
- Background in C++ or Blueprint development, experience shipping co-op or multiplayer games,
- Experience at an indie studio (30-50 people)
- Knowledge of PC platform requirements and submission processes
- Strong technical literacy—ability to read code, understand system architecture, and communicate effectively with engineers
