About the role

  • Provide part-time support for day-to-day IT operations, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise.
  • Advise on IT-related matters and operational questions upon request, addressing potential issues proactively.
  • Provide IT support for issues such as tool access, user roles, and system connectivity upon request.
  • Manage and control access to company tools and services, ensuring permissions are granted and revoked appropriately upon request.
  • Assist with tasks in Google Workspace upon request.
  • Support the Google Workspace migration, including coordination and communication with an external agency managing the process.
  • Provide guidance and hands-on help with Google Cloud-related matters.
  • Remotely configure and prepare company laptops, ensuring the installation of required software, Kandji (or similar MDM solution), remote access capabilities, and security compliance.
  • Help implement and maintain IT security protocols.
  • Advise on the efficient use of systems and resources.
  • Make data-informed decisions and define relevant metrics to evaluate progress on operational initiatives; provide monthly IT reports upon request.
  • Streamline and improve IT-related processes for onboarding and offboarding.
  • Maintain and optimize documentation and workflows for managing technical tool data and system usage.
  • Offer expert input on improving internal systems, IT workflows, and best practices to ensure operational efficiency and scalability.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in IT administration or a similar role.
  • Experience with Google Workspace administration and management.
  • Knowledge of identity management systems, including SSO, SAML, and OIDC.
  • Experience with containerization technologies.
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices.
  • Experience with user provisioning and automation.
  • Knowledge of remote work security best practices.
  • Experience deploying and managing open-source software solutions.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and systems.
  • Nice to have: Experience with user provisioning automation from Google Workspace to other services; Advanced knowledge of identity federation technologies; Experience with cloud infrastructure management; Documentation and process improvement skills.
