About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support in tendering processes, bid comparisons, and contract negotiations
Maintain supplier relationships and handle conflict management
Monitor contracts and ensure compliance with standards and sustainability requirements
Analyze and optimize supplier and procurement processes
Prepare and evaluate pricing proposals for transportation products
Manage and maintain the freight rate database
Conduct market and competitor analyses
Align pricing strategy with internal and external stakeholders
Plan, manage, and oversee national and international transport operations
Select and coordinate suitable service providers and transport modes
Prepare shipping, customs, and transport documents
Communicate and coordinate with customers, partners, and authorities

Requirements

What you’ll need

You have successfully completed vocational training as a Freight Forwarding and Logistics Services Clerk (or equivalent) and have already gained initial experience in rail transport
Demonstrate strong communication skills, organizational talent, flexibility, and a willingness to learn
Work goal- and solution-oriented, independently, meticulously, and reliably
Possess intercultural competence in daily interactions with our international customers and colleagues
Have solid MS Office skills and speak fluent German and confident English
