About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Contribute to building and further developing data protection structures (Data Protection Management System - DPMS) and processes.
Serve as an appointed external Data Protection Officer (DPO).
Implement and maintain documentation (e.g., records of processing activities, policies, roles, pragmatic evidence).
Support DSFA/DPIA: preparation, facilitation, documentation.
Deliver training and awareness sessions that make data protection understandable and sustainably embedded in daily work.
Act as an interface with information/IT security and compliance: translate requirements between business, technical teams, and regulators in an audience-appropriate way.
Conduct data protection audits and/or accompany and support clients during inspections.
Participate in internal projects, structure our collective knowledge, and help evolve our consulting approach.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 3 years of practical experience at a consulting firm advising on data protection, data security, and/or compliance.
Degree or equivalent experience in one or more of our core topics, e.g., IT security, (business) informatics, business administration, security management.
Knowledge of standards/regulation: Required: GDPR and relevant national data protection laws.
Nice to have (not required): certification as a data protection auditor.
Excellent German language skills, good English language skills.
Pragmatic approach with the ability to translate complex legal requirements into clear, prioritized actions.
Ability to build and maintain long-term, trust-based client relationships.
