About the role
- Collaborate with Lead Product Owner(s) to translate strategic roadmap into backlog items for custom-developed software
- Own and prioritize technical and functional requirements in the product backlog and maintain the product roadmap
- Serve as liaison between business and development; determine feasibility and adherence to firm policies and standards
- Address product team members' questions to ensure delivery of quality solutions
- Participate and champion agile/scrum ceremonies; monitor sprint burndown charts and manage team velocity
- May provide feedback, coaching, goal setting and training to advisees/contractors
- Consult and execute on initiatives involving process and tool development and implementation including training development, engagement management, tool design, and implementation
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (preference given to Business or Technology or Accounting major)
- Certified Professional Scrum Product Owner or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a product owner or business analyst
- Experience with Software Development Life Cycle
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Self-disciplined to work in a virtual, agile, globally sourced team
- Results driven; high integrity; ability to influence, negotiate and build relationships; superior communications skills
- Experience with Secure Software Development Life Cycle (preferred)
- Prior public accounting experience with mid to large size firm(s) or other professional services experience (preferred)
- May serve as a Career Advisor for FTEs or hiring manager for Contractors
