About the role
- Join RSM US LLP’s Cyber Risk and Data Protection (CYBER) group—an elite team dedicated to cybersecurity
- Serve public sector clients: prevent, detect, and respond to threats against critical systems and data
- Lead efforts in the Florida market to expand delivery capabilities and drive innovation within Consulting Services Practice
- Work directly with the public sector CYBER leader to build out the practice and expand team size and skill-sets
- Provide oversight and training to managers and staff during delivery of security services to ensure quality and development
- Use proven business development skills to acquire clients and expand existing relationships
- Identify business opportunities and enhance go-to-market strategies
- Communicate strategic and tactical risks of advanced security threats and recommend preventative solutions
- Translate complex technical issues into executive-style reports and presentations for senior management
- Leverage industry and technical expertise to identify improvement opportunities and assist with remediation services
- Ensure revenue goals are met and client service offerings respond to changing business needs
Requirements
- MUST BE LOCATED IN TALLAHASSEE
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field from an accredited college/university
- In-depth knowledge of security and privacy frameworks and standards such as NIST 800 series, MARS-E, FIPS series, NIST CSF, CMMC, FISMA, and other cybersecurity laws and regulations
- In-depth knowledge of security tools and emerging technology used in the state government sector
- Established relationships within federal, state, and local government agencies
- Successful track record of building and growing a security and privacy practice
- Proven ability to manage a marketing campaign to launch new or expanded services
- Demonstrated ability to identify and obtain new service opportunities and take them through the sales cycle
- Ability to develop and sustain meaningful client relationships and understand client business needs
- Proven people skills and experience operating in a professional services firm or large consultancy
- Proven ability to effectively collaborate
- Ability to travel locally and beyond; travel up to 50% preferred
- Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, GIAC or equivalent
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
- Proven record of working seamlessly in a virtual environment with distributed teams
- Creative thinking, individual initiative, and flexibility in prioritizing tasks
