Develop, maintain and evolve backend applications using Python, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
Design and implement robust APIs, following best practices for versioning, authentication, and documentation.
Participate in defining and implementing microservices-based architectures.
Work with API Gateways (especially Apigee), configuring proxies, policies, authentication, security, and monitoring.
Integrate internal and external systems via APIs and messaging.
Ensure code quality through automated tests and code reviews.
Analyze and resolve issues by identifying root causes and proposing continuous improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, DevOps, architecture, and product).
Participate in architectural decisions and define technical best practices.
Contribute to improving CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.

Requirements

Solid experience in backend development with Python (minimum 5+ years).
Experience building RESTful APIs (or GraphQL).
Experience with microservices architecture.
Hands-on experience with Apigee (proxy configuration, policies, security, rate limiting).
Experience with API Gateways and API management.
Knowledge of authentication and authorization (OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect).
Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases.
Experience with containers (Docker).
Familiarity with cloud environments (GCP).
Experience with code versioning (Git).
Knowledge of automated testing (unit and integration).
Experience with agile methodologies.
Nice to have: Experience with backend development in Java.
