About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support a wide range of clinical pharmacy initiatives and day-to-day activities.
Assisting with medication management to help ensure safe and appropriate use.
Supporting key programs such as the Oral Chemotherapy Program and transitions of care.
Coordinating and helping implement medication safety and quality improvement initiatives.
Serving as a point of connection between patients and the clinical pharmacy team.
Assisting with administrative and operational tasks that keep pharmacy services running efficiently.
Helping reduce administrative workload for pharmacists so they can focus on patient care.
Working across both inpatient and outpatient settings to support continuity of care.

Requirements

What you’ll need

National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or ExCPT from National Healthcareer Association (NHA) required.
Registered Pharmacy Technician with NYS Office of the Professions, State Education Department.
High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time Pharmacy Technician experience in a hospital, healthcare organization, chemo-infusion, specialty pharmacy, insurance company or related field.
