About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Evaluate patients' strength, range of motion, balance, coordination, posture, and muscle performance
Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluations and clinical guidelines
Administer manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy
Educate patients and families on recovery, injury prevention, and healthy lifestyle practices
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with professional standards and regulations
Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, athletic trainers, and other healthcare professionals
Supervise and instruct physical therapy assistants or aides when applicable
Ensure a safe and clean treatment environment
Stay current with physical therapy practices, research, and innovations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution
Current and active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the job's state
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills
Compassionate and patient-centered approach
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and documentation standards
More than 1 year of clinical or hospital experience
Ability to pass required hospital health requirements, including drug screening and background check
Neuro experience highly preferred
Ability to perform frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting, and sitting
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and regularly push and pull
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating equipment
