About the role
- Assessing, monitoring, and treating patients with various respiratory conditions
- Conducting spirometry testing and pulmonary function screenings
- Providing patient education regarding respiratory treatments and equipment use
- Administering respiratory treatments and monitoring patient progress
- Collaborating with healthcare teams, ensuring patient safety and care
Requirements
- Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
- Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and/or Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) preferred.
- AARC Office Spirometry Certificate also accepted.
- Experience in performing spirometry testing.
- Strong communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of respiratory equipment and medications.
